Shakira made a subtle dig at Barcelona legend Gerard Pique, after she received Billboard’s Latin Woman of the year Award. Shakira has made many sly comments about Pique in public after their split, particularly about his alleged infidelity. Shakira appeared to poke fun at Pique again after receiving the Billboard award for the inaugural “Latin Women in Music”gala.
She said: “It doesn’t matter so much if someone is faithful or not. What matters most is that you are faithful to yourself. You know that it’s been a year full of changes for me. It has been a year where I’ve felt what it means to be a women more than ever before. It is the year that I realized women are stronger than we thought .”
“We’re braver than what we think.” I also think that we are more independent than what we were taught. Who hasn’t experienced, at one time or another, the feeling of forgetting herself, for example, when she sought out attention, affection, or approval from others? I have done it more than once,” she revealed. The artist also expressed her excitement and gratitude for the award. Shakira and her two children Milan and Sasha moved to Miami recently to begin a new chapter. Gerard Pique is in a relationship currently with Clara Chia Marti. The Barcelona legend celebrated Marti’s Birthday in the UAE, before heading to Miami to see his children.
